摘要
POA is designed to remedy what is seen as a flawed approach to English teaching,described as a top-down approach, whereby the focus is on development of reading without a concomitant concern with what is seen as Chinese students’ predominant need for English, namely the ability to put the language to productive use, particularly in writing.
