Professor WANG Zhen's Clinical Experience of Radix Clematidis in Treating Cough

[目的]总结王真教授运用威灵仙治疗咳嗽病的临床经验。[方法]通过跟师侍诊,分析归纳王真教授在治疗咳嗽时运用威灵仙的经验。总结威灵仙适应的常见证型,包括风咳证和痰瘀互结证,分析两种不同证型的病因病机及治法,并附典型案例以资验证。[结果]王真教授认为风咳以风邪为病因,当从风论治,威灵仙具有良好的祛风作用,可有效缓解支气管痉挛所致的咳嗽。痰瘀互结型咳嗽以痰、瘀为病因,治疗上当活血化瘀、顺气化痰,威灵仙性善走,通经达络,去心膈痰水,可缓解患者咳嗽咳痰、气急等症状,改善痰瘀互结型咳嗽。治疗上随症加减,取得了较好疗效。所举医案,具体展示了上述辨证思路和治疗经验。[结论]王真教授运用威灵仙治疗咳嗽,区分风咳证和痰瘀互结证,中病即止,疗效显著,其临床经验值得学习。

[Objective] Introduced Professor WANG Zhen＇s clinical experience of Radix Clematidis in treating cough. [Methods] Collected and analyzed the clinical experience in treating cough with Radix Clematidis by studying from him for a long time. Professor WANG included two common syndrome types of ＂cough caused by wind＂and ＂cough caused by phlegm blended with blood stasis＂. Analyzed the pathogeny and pathogenesis and summarized his treatments. Typical cases were presented for inspecting and verifying. [Results] Professor WANG thinks that＂cough caused by wind＂is treated from wind evil. Radix Clematidis has a good effect of dispelling wind. And it can effectively relieve cough caused by bronchospasm. Meanwhile, ＂cough caused by phlegm blended with blood stasis＂is treated from activating blood to dissipate blood stasis and phlegm. Radix Clematidis has a good effect of dredging the channels and collaterals and clearing phrenic phlegm and water. And it can activate blood and dissipate phlegm to relieve cough and expectoration,improve of symptoms such as shortness of breath. The treatments have obtained good treatment results by modifying herbs with the changes of syndrome.[Conclusion] Professor＇s WANG Zhen＇s experience of treating cough by using Radix Clematidis is well worth learning for it always gets outstanding effect.
