At present, many shipbuilding enterprises still adopt the method of artificial budget. Manual calculation not only consumes a lot of time, but also has a high error rate in carrying out complicated data statistics and calculation. This paper introduces how to automate the material budget of shipbuilding industry based on VBA programming. With the help of VBA program to realize the automation of engineering material budget, not only can the workload of the staff be greatly reduced, but also the work load can be improved. Work efficiently, and also make material budget results more accurate.
