借助SWOT模型分析了烟台民办高校发展现状及存在的问题。烟台民办高校具有灵活的办学机制、强烈的发展意识、较低的入学门槛的自身优势，但也存在高昂的学费将低收入家庭考生拒之门外、筹资渠道少导致办学条件受限、管理不规范导致大量优秀教师流失的劣势，国家、省、市出台相关法律、文件支持民办教育发展，以及经济发展战略的调整为民办高校转型带来新契机，而社会认可度低、生源竞争白热化、经济新常态对民办高校学生就业具有一定的冲击，给民办高校的生存和发展带来威胁。

With the help of SW OT model, this paper analyzes the present situation and existingproblem s o f private co lieges and universities. Private colieges have the advantages o f flexible running mechanism , strong sense ofdevelopm entand low entrance threshold, but there are also high tuition fees lead to low income faro ilies students be refused, the lack of funding channels leading to lim ited school conditions, the m anagem ent is not standardized, resulting in a large hum bet of excellent teachers lost, the national, provincial and municipal law s and documents to support the developm entof private education, the adjustm entof economic developm ent strategy for the transform ation of private colleges and universities to bring anew opportunity for private colleges and universities, low social recognition, the competition of students enrollmnent, the new normaleconomy hasa certain impact on the em ploym entof private colleges and universities students, to the survival and developm entof private colleges and universities pose a threat.
