我国寿险公司成长的路径选择及影响因素分析

An Empirical Study on the Factors Affecting the Growth Path of Life Insurance Companies in China

目前我国寿险公司成长存在明显的亏损经营等现象,中小寿险公司尤为突出。在这种背景下,展开寿险公司成长路径及影响因素的分析具有重要的现实和理论意义。本文以中小寿险公司的成长为出发点和落脚点,首先对我国寿险公司成长的路径选择进行了分析,发现中小寿险公司多选择单一业务或主导业务模式,还处于成长的初级阶段,而大规模寿险公司多采用多元成长战略。随后,本文选择我国39家寿险公司2007~2015年相关数据进行了实证分析,发现创新能力、回归产品保障功能、拓展新业务、提升经营效率等因素显著促进寿险公司尤其是中小寿险公司成长,展开价格竞争对中小寿险公司非常不利。本文最后对全文进行了总结,并对如何促进我国寿险公司成长提出建议。

The growth of life insurance companies is important not only for the entire life insurance market,but for employment opportunities to maintain social stability and the sophistication of the life insurance market. At present,life insurance companies,especially small and medium-sized life insurance companies,have obvious difficulties in seeking growth,and many are facing with operating losses for years. In this context,it is of theoretical and realistic significance to study the growth path and affecting factors for life insurance companies. With the growth of small and medium-sized life insurance companies as the focus,this paper first analyzed the path choice of the life insurance companies,and chose the data from 2007 to 2015 of 39 life insurance companies to carry on the empirical analysis. We found that China＇s small and medium-sized life insurance companies chose a single business or dominant business model,and were at the primary stage of growth,while big companies chose diversified growth paths. Innovation ability,the capability to return to the protection function of the products,new business expansion,and operating efficiency had positive impacts on the growth of life insurance company,especially those of a small and medium size; price competition was severely negative on the growth of the small and medium-sized life insurance companies. In summing up,the paper offered some thoughts on how to promote the growth of life insurance companies in China.
