试论米哈伊尔·努埃曼《纪伯伦传》中的虚构描写

An Analysis on the Fictional Portrait in Gibran Kahlil Gibran by Mikha’il Nu’imah

《纪伯伦传》是米哈伊尔·努埃曼为其好友纪伯伦撰写的一部传记文学佳作,是学界研究纪伯伦生平及文学艺术创作的重要参考。然而此书中的虚构性描写却不时引发评论界的争议。本文结合传记文学研究相关理论,对《纪伯伦传》中纪伯伦的童年生活、创作经历、情感生活三方面的虚构性描写进行了分析,致力于探究努埃曼所运用的虚构描写手法与虚构尺度,并探讨虚构描写在塑造传主形象中的作用。

The technique of fictional portrait in biographies has long been a sensitive issue in the field of biography studies. Gibran Kahlil Gibran is an excellent biographic work by Lebanese American migrant writer Mikha＇il Nu＇imah portraying the life of Gibran, the soul and leader of Arab American migrant literature; hence it has been an important reference for researchers on the life story of Gibran as well as his literary and artistic works. Yet this biography had caused much dispute because of its portrayal of the inner conflict of the poet and its use of technique of fictional portraying. This article discusses the fictional portraying in Gibran Kahlil Gibran based on theories of biographic study, so as to serve as a reference for the studies of Arabic biographic works.
