Research progress on Plasmodium Knowlesi

诺氏疟原虫是一种主要感染猕猴的疟原虫。自2004年起,东南亚地区的马来西亚、泰国、新加坡、菲律宾、越南、缅甸和印度尼西亚等国陆续报告人感染诺氏疟原虫的病例。诺氏疟原虫成为国内外学者、出入境检验检疫部门和疾病预防控制部门共同关注的重点。本文系统地介绍了诺氏疟原虫的发现、生活史、流行病学、临床表现及诊断、预防及治疗等方面的国内外最新进展。

Plasmodium knowlesi is one of the parasites which infects rhesus monkeys. Since 2004 several countries such as Malaysia,Thailand,Singapore,Philippines,Vietnam,Burma and Indonesia in Southeast Asia had report cases of human infection with Plasmodium knowlesi. Plasmodium knowlesi had increasingly become the hot topic of scholars at domestic and abroad,the department of Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine,Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.The history,life cycle,epidemiology,clinical manifestations,diagnosis,prevention and treatment of Plasmodium knowlesi were reviewed in this paper.
