千家坪钒矿矿体与围岩均不稳固,矿体厚度属中厚,倾角属急倾斜,不适合空场法开采;充填法主要针对高品位有色金属、富品位贵金属和稀有贵重金属,钒矿石品位低,从经济角度讲也不符合充填法开采;崩落法是在崩落围岩下出矿,贫化率极高,也不适合采用。选择低阶段垂直扇形深孔无底柱空场法,目前看来不失为经济、有效、实用的采矿方法。
