随着亚太地区在世界政治经济版图中的地位和作用日趋上升,澳大利亚被迫从传统西方经济圈中剥离,自20世纪70年代,澳大利亚政府将外交、经贸重心逐渐转向亚太地区,并明确提出"亚洲优先"战略。随着"亚洲优先"战略的实施,澳语言政策为了服务和保障国家政治、经济等战略利益,逐步将亚洲语言教育作为重要内容之一。作为全球公认的语言政策制定较为成功的国家之一,澳大利亚语言政策不仅较为有效地解决了澳语言教育问题,还在促进国家政治经济发展等方面起到了重要支撑作用。

As one of the countries that have been recognized formulating a successful policies system of language in the world, Australia＇s language policies have not only effectively solved the problem of Australian languages education, but also played an important supporting role in promoting national political and economic development.
