高等职业教育的地方性、社会性,决定了高职院校因城而生,为市则活的办学特性.作为地方文化传承的重要载体,高职院校图书馆承担着重要的历史使命.建设特色文化研究中心,有效挖掘、宣传、发扬地方特色文化,探讨高职院校图书馆服务地方发展的策略:整合资源,提炼特色,引入新媒体技术,借助新平台,服务地方发展,发挥图书馆文化传播和创新职能.

The local and social attribute of higher vocational education determines the characteristics of a vocational college＇s dependence on a city in running a school.As an important carrier of local culture inheritance,higher vocational college libraries are to shoulder important historic missions.Characteristic culture research center must be established so as to effectively excavate,propagate and develop local characteristics culture,and explore the strategies for the local development of higher vocational college libraries.The integration of resources,refining of characteristics,introduction of new media technology,the use of new platforms must be done to serve the local development,and to bring into full play the cultural communication and innovation functions of libraries.
