Enhance Culture Self-confidence to Promote the Party's Leadership in Ideology in Colleges and Universities

习总书记强调,意识形态工作是党和国家的一项极其重要的工作。高校作为意识形态工作的前沿阵地,肩负着学习研究宣传马克思主义,培养中国特色社会主义接班人的重要使命。当前,世界范围内各种思想文化交流交融交锋更加频繁,国际思想文化领域斗争深刻复杂。党对高校意识形态的领导面临着严峻的挑战,因此在高校加强文化建设、增强文化自信对于促进党对高校意识形态的领导有着十分重大的作用。

General Secretary Xi stressed that ideological work isof huge importance for the Party and the country. As the frontlineof ideological work, colleges and universities are associated withthe critical duty of studying, propagating and promoting Marxism,aligning with cultivating successors of Socialism with ChineseCharacteristics. At present, the confrontation and merging behaviorbetween countless cultures worldwide has been ever-growinglyfrequent, such field of engagement between different culturesis profoundly intricate. The Party＇s leadership on behalf ofideology aspects amongst colleges and universities, is facing severechallenges. Therefore, strengthening cultural developmentand enhancing cultural confidence in colleges and universitiesplay a very important role in reinforcing the Party＇s leadership inideology of colleges and universities.
