In view of IMSBC Code, the paper interprets the first lawsuit over the safe transportation of nickel ore in China and tries to find out the cargo inspection report that can be accepted by the court. It analyzes whether the IMSBC Code is applicable to bulk cargoes such as nickel ore and the relationship between seaworthiness and moisture content, in the hope of providing practical guidance to ship operation.
