摘要
教师在激发和保持学生的外语学习动机方面起着关键的作用。本文通过问卷和访谈的方式,考察了独立学院6名优秀大学英语教师的课堂动机策略使用情况。结果表明,其中16项动机策略在大学英语课堂中的使用频率超过了所有动机策略使用的均值,对使用频率最高和最低的6项动机策略进行了分析。小组活动和小组学习是使用最少的策略,情感策略在教学中影响更大。与前人的研究结果进行比较,从中得出了一些对教学有意义的启示。
An English teacher plays a vital role in stimulating and maintaining students' motivation to study English. Classroom motivational strategies of 6 English teachers from independent colleges are investigated by means of questionnaire and interview. The finding shows that: 16 motivational strategies are used more frequently than others in the college English class; the 6 motivational strategies used most frequently and the other 6 ones used least frequently are analyzed. Small-group activity and group-study are the strategies used least frequently, and the motional strategy plays an important part in teaching. The findings from previous studies can provide certain enlightment to the teaching.
