This paper introduces the development idea of ＂General functional requirements for electronic records management system＂（GB/T29194-2012）, analyzes and explains the standard from the three main aspects of standard positioning,information model and functional model. The author analyzes the concrete location of the standard from two perspectives of concept and management, and interprets information model of the standard from the perspective of the macro classification scheme and the record-document-component structure model, and analyzes functional model of the standard from the aspects of configuration functions, file management business functions, security management and system management functions, and then puts forward follow-up maintenance recommendations for the standard.
