Time and space are the common themes in Architecture and Films. In 1970s the Belgian film director Chantal Akerman finished her three experimental films, La Chambre, Hotel Monterey and News from Home. The subjects were set up in room, building and city, which has become an ideal model from video angle to perceive and express the urban space. The article analyze the three films within a movie review form, focus on the concepts and movements of images in order to probe and reveal the concomitant constitution of time and space in film analysis and Architecture research.
