人类的饮食是一种生物性与文化性互相影响、共同作用的活动,满足生理饥饿的饮食,同时也可以作为表达意义的"符号",换言之,"物性"与"符号性"在人类饮食活动中共存,并且发挥着各自不同的价值。在物底线与纯符号之间滑动的张力,构成了人类饮食在"生—熟"之外的重要文化特征。

Human diet is an activity of both biological and cultural interaction. A diet that satisfies physical hunger can also be used as a ＂symbol＂for meaning. In other words,＂physical＂and ＂symbolic＂coexist in human diet,and play different roles in value. Sliding between pure objects and pure symbols,human diet exhibits cultural features besides ＂raw-cooked＂.
