惠潮嘉师范学堂首任监督康詠考述

A Study of Kang Yong: the First Supervisor of Huichaojia Normal School

康詠是清末民初福建汀州籍著名的教育家与诗人。清末《岭东日报》留下不少关于康詠的报道,结合其诗作与档案资料,可考见康詠在潮州的作为:曾任潮阳东山书院掌教,担任惠潮嘉师范学堂监督,又倡办师范传习所、初等女子学堂等,极力推动地方教育事业的发展。

Kang Yong, who was born in the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China in Ting-zhou, Fujian, was a famous educator and poet. There were many reports about Kang Yong in Lingdong Daily inthe late Qing dynasty. According the archives and poems of Kang Yong, we can get a general idea of hisachievements in Chaozhou, such as teaching in Dongshan Academy in Chaoyang, serving as a the first supervi-sor of Huichaojia Normal School, proposing to set up normal schools and primary women＇s schools and so on.Kang Yong made a great contribution to local education.
