摘要 潮汕"龙尾爷"信仰由来已久,在潮汕各地均有供奉"龙尾爷"的庙宇。"龙尾爷"是民间的尊称,其自称"何野云"。潮汕民间传说何野云是元末明初陈友谅的军师因兵败流落潮汕,后来得到潮汕人的崇奉。民间流传的"虱母仙"传说促进"龙尾爷"信仰的传播。"龙尾爷"信仰的特点包括:潮汕人对异乡人的同情、"龙尾爷"神像的武将形象和"虱母仙"的邋遢形象。 Belief in"Longweiye"(a Buddhist idol) in Chaoshan area has a long history, and there aremany"Longweiye"temples around Chaoshan area. People called him"Longweiye", while his name is"HeYeyun". It is said that He Yeyun was Chen Youliang's military counselor"Zou Pusheng"in folktales in thelate Yuan dynasty and the early Ming dynasty who escaped to Chaoshan after being defeated. He got help from "Fairy Jiu Tian" later and he became a"Fairy Lice". The spread of belief in"Longweiye"is promoted by thelegend of"Fairy Lice"in folktales. The characteristics of belief in"Longweiye"include the sympathy of Chao-shan people for strangers, the statue of an army general"Longweiye"and the dirty image of"Fairy Lice".
