论司马迁的等级观

On the Sense of Hierarchy of Mr. Sima Qian

所谓司马迁的等级观,就是指他对当时社会所实行的等级制度和对各等级的人的看法。本文认为,由于时代的局限,司马迁是认同社会尊卑有序的等级制度的,但同时他对各等级的人又有自己独立的思考,其判断人的标准超越了社会等级,主要以道义标准来衡量。他希望社会各等级的人都能够各有德行、各司其职,形成一个太平无事的和谐社会。

The rank idea of Sima Qian was the thought of social hierarchy and people of all ranks. Due to the limitation of the age,Sima Qian approved of social hierarchy in which different people were graded to different ranks. On the other hand, he thought people of all ranks out for himself. He judged them by his independent standard. That was morality. He hoped that people of all ranks could be virtuous and work as they were supposed to. As a result,we would live in a better and harmonious society.
