It will take years or even decades to train a geological science and technology talent,which is a systematic project involving the whole society.In this paper,the United States federal agencies have a large number of education and training projects on earth science.The federal earth science education and Human Resources Development Research Committee of the United States have evaluated these projects and proposed a successful evaluation standard.The experience provides a powerful reference for the training of a new generation of geologists in other countries and regions.
