摘要 本文运用设计学中有关界面以及"现成在手"和"上手"等概念反思了翻译理论与实践的关系问题。研究发现,对于深谙翻译理论的译者而言,理论一般处于"上手"状态;对于质疑翻译理论的作用者而言,理论成了"现成在手"。界面连接了译者和外部的世界,其作用取决于使用者、理论和有目的的翻译行为之间的交互维度,分别表现为具身关系、诠释关系、它异关系和背景关系,译者因而对翻译理论与实践的关系具有不同的认知和体验。工作坊能够实现理论与实践的交互,设计工作坊的五元素,即目的、产出、参与者、问题和过程设计,对翻译工作坊具有重大启迪意义。 This paper employs the concepts of interface as well as "present-at-hand" and "ready-to- hand" in design studies to reflect on the relationship between translation theory and practice. It is found that theories remain ready-to-hand for translators who are conversant with translation theories, whereas they are present-at-hand for those who challenge the usefulness of translation theories. The interface connects a translator with the external world and it functions in relation to the dimension of interaction among users, theories and intentional translational acts, which is classified into embodiment relations, hermeneutic relations, alterity relations, and background relations. That accounts for the differences in translators' understanding and experience of the relationship between translation theory and practice. The workshop enables an interactive relationship between theory and practice and the five elements of design workshops purpose, product, participant problems/questions and process prove to be of profound implications for translation workshops.
