孟村方言中词缀"家"的用法比普通话丰富,不仅可用作前缀,还可用作后缀。"家"用在方位语素前指称方位,在"老+夫姓"后指称出嫁女子,在男人的名字或排行后面指称他的妻子,在亲属称谓后指"某门亲属",这些用法都是普通话所没有的。

The usage affix＂jia＂in Mengcun dialect is richer than that in Mandarin,because it can be used not only as a prefix,but also as a suffix.＂Jia＂used before position morpheme refers to the position;＂jia＂used after＂lao＋husband surname＂refers to a married woman;＂jia＂used after name or home ranking of a man refers to his wife,and ＂jia＂used after kinship titles refers to relatives.These are not what Mandarin is capable to refer.
