A Comparison on Regional Food Price:Where is the Eating Expensive across China?

摘要 以2015年规格品价格与权重数据为样本,考察中国不同地区食品价格水平差异,基于世界银行国际比较项目(ICP)的理论,采用两步法测算地区食品价格平价(PPP)。研究发现,若以不含在外用餐的16个基本类计算地区食品PPP,31个省市区中共有24个地区大于1,即食品价格水平普遍高于北京,特别是以西藏为代表的部分中西部地区食品价格居高。相反,若以包含在外用餐的17个基本类计算食品PPP,则仅有6个地区大于1,东部及沿海地区食品价格相对较高。进一步的研究表明,两个层次的食品PPP具有不同的经济内涵,与经济指标之间相关性各异,与人均主要农产品产量之间也呈不同关系。 This study investigates the difference of regional food price levels across China, with a sample of 2015 product price and weight data. Based on the theory of the World Bank s ICP, the regional food PPPs are estimated with a two-step approach. According to the results of food PPP estimated with 16 basic headings excluding outside eating, there are 24 out of 31 provincial regions getting a food PPP bigger than 1 (with Beijing=1), and this means that the food prices are higher than Beijing in most areas, especially some middle and western regions, e.g. Tibet. On the contrary, the food PPPs estimated with 17 basic headings including outside eating show that there are only 6 regions whose PPPs are bigger than 1, and usually the eating is more expensive in the eastern and coastal areas. A further study revealed that these two food PPPs have different economic connotation, whose relationship with economic indicators and the per capita output of major agricultural products are different.
