Forty years ago,the CPC central leadership with Deng Xiaoping at the core clarified that the essence of socialism is liberation and development of productive forces,elimination of exploitation and polarization,and the ultimate achievement of prosperity for all.Guided by this understanding,China has achieved a tremendous transformation:it has stood up,grown rich,and is becoming strong.
