International Consensus and Chinese Experience on Social Protection

本文阐述了改革开放40年来,中国在建立和完善社会保障制度的过程中所付出的努力和取得的经验。这些经验涉及农村扶贫和农村社会救助,也涉及城乡居民的养老保险和医疗保险。更重要的是:中国的经验和价值理念是和当前社会保护的国际共识相通和相容的。

This paper expounds the efforts and experience by China in establishing and improving the social security system in the past 40 years since the reform and opening up. These experiences involve rural poverty alleviation and rural social assistance,as well as old-age insurance and medical insurance for urban and rural residents. More importantly,the Chinese experience and values are compatible and compatible with the current international consensus on social protection.
