In this paper, the important product designer Zhang Xiehe of the Yanan period and the Meijian Carpenter＇s Shop which he founded are the research object. Try to show in that special era, Zhang Xiehe and Meijian Carpenter＇s Shop get lots of great achievements in the production and design of wood. At the same time, also let us see even in a closed environment, Meijian Carpenter＇s Shop also has the very strong vitality of the market, in many respects, follow the market rules to run. This will further give us an insight into the significance of the research to the design of Yanan.
