A aloesin was isolated from the leaves of Aloe vera var. chinensis and identified as 2-acetonyl-8-D-glucopyranosyl-7-hydroxy-5-methylchrom ne by physico-chemical constants and UV, IR, MS, ~1HNMR and ^(18)CNMR methods.
