高校特色人文社科专业图书文献保障研究——以北师大民俗学学位论文为例

An Empirical Study of Book Availability for the Humanities and Social Sciences Disciplines at University Subject Libraries——Taking Folklore Studies of Beijing Normal University as an Example

文章以北京师范大学民俗学专业2014年硕博士学位论文的图书类参考文献为样本,通过引文分析考察北京师范大学图书馆对样本中中英文参考文献的收藏和缺藏情况。研究发现:对中文一般图书,纸质与数字资源的联合保障率达88.5%,较为完善;古籍图书与外文图书保障率分别为65.9%与9.0%;整体而言,图书的数字资源类型保障情况高于纸质类型,数字资源主要来自外购电子数据库;外文图书保障主要依赖纸质类型;在可获得性上,纸质资源主要由总馆提供保障,分馆与学科资料室提供补充性支撑。文章从特色人文专业的外文文献需求、替代性资源的保障可行性、小众需求与资源建设,以及主、分馆运行管理关系等角度提出下一步的研究问题。

This paper analyzed the master theses and doctoral dissertations of folklore majors of Beijing NormalUniversity in 2014 to examine to what extent the research literature was available. By using the method of citationanalysis,the percentage of cited books held by the university library could be obtained. The proportion of notavailable books could also be determined. The findings indicated that the availability rate of ordinary books in theChinese language was 88.5%,adding both the print and electronic formats together. This percentage was higherthan that of the Chinese ancient books（65.9%）and the foreign languages books（9.0%）. The electronic resourceswere mainly provided through purchased databases. They contained more number of books than the print collectionswhile most foreign books were available in print format only. In addition,most of the print books came from themain library. Finally, the article suggested some future research directions including the demand of foreignliterature on selected humanities and social sciences disciplines,the feasibility of providing alternative resources,niche demand and collection development,the relationship between the main library and branch libraries and so on.
