互文指涉框架下的语用偏移研究——以中国政府记者招待会口译为例

On Pragmatic Shifts under the Concept of Intertextual Reference——Taking Chinese Government Press Conference Interpreting as an Example

在Hatim&Mason的互文指涉框架下,对6场中国政府记者招待会口译的语用偏移进行对比分析。研究发现,口译活动的参与增强了政治话语互文指涉的政府机构性,一定程度上减弱了记者提问礼节性互文指涉的对话性。删除或重构了具有语用冲突特征的互文指涉,表现为带有商榷意义的互文关系。同时,译员的翻译偏移决策一方面表现出与政府的同盟关系,另一方面也可能造成政府发言人话语意图的不准确传递。

This article compares pragmatic shifts in six Chinese government press conference interpretations under the concept of intertextual reference proposed by Hatim and Mason. The results show that with the involvement of interpreting activities,the institutional features of intertextual references in interpreted political discourses are strengthened; the dialogical features of courtesy references in interpreted questions of the journalists are to some extent weakened; and the intertextual references with the pragmatically conflicting features are deleted or reconstructed into negotiated intertextual relations in the interpretations. Moreover, the decisions of the interpreters reveal their alliances with the government on the one hand,and the potentiality of distorted discourse intention on the other hand.
