Insulation materials are widely used in petrochemical plants. This paper mainly compares the commonly used insulation materials such as rock wool,glass wool,calcium silicate,and composite silicates in terms of construction,service life,heat preservation performance and other technical performance. The selection process of insulation materials is introduced through practical design cases.
