1999年7月31日至8月4日间,我夫妇应邀往访拜罗伊特乐剧节。这是个＂非《指环》剧季＂,表示那年夏天不演＂指环＂系列,因为新的制作正在筹备中,要等来年的夏天才能看到。为了这六年一度的＂非《指环》剧季＂,乐剧节主办方推出一出新制作的《罗恩格林》（Lohengrin）,重演1995年结束当轮演出的《特里斯坦与伊索尔德》（Tristanund Isolde）,然后接演还没结束本轮演出的三出乐剧《漂泊的荷兰人》（Derfleigende Hollander）、《帕西法尔》（Parsifal）及《纽伦堡的名歌手》（Die Meistersingervon Nürnberg）.
This article starts a new series: "Zenith Productions of Operas and Music Dramas". A major part of it is the author's 10 visits to the renowned Bayreuth Festival attending 68 performances. Some superb productions at major American and European opera houses will also be featured.
