In the 1980 s, some Chinese novels are hunger-themed which tell the stories of farmers and of intellectuals who underwent reform through farm labor in the countryside. Those novels present stunning hunger-related living scenes by describing the characters＇ psychology when they were faced with hunger. These works,set against the background of the particular times, reconstruct the hunger-related scenes, which not only reflect on the particular era and society but explore human nature and show care for life.
