Some Problems about the Great Wall Spirit and Great Wall Culture

长城伴随着中华民族的祖先从远古走来,也必然伴随着中华民族向未来走去。在修筑长城的问题上秦始皇不但没有历史功绩,而且还有历史罪责。《春秋穀梁传》和穀梁学者对于孟姜女哭倒长城的传说的形成具有决定性的作用和影响。如果丧失了人民的支持、不顾人民的死活、使人民没有活路、否定人民的作用,长城是会崩塌的。李世民、玄烨不修筑长城,仅仅涉及事物的一个方面而忽视事物的另一个方面,是片面的。所谓的"万里长城万里空"是错误的。解决长城问题和中国问题的治本之策是一方面要发展社会经济,另一方面要实现人民民主。

The funda- mental policy to solve the problem of the Great Wall and to solve the problem of China is, on one hand, to develop economy and to develop democracy on the other.
