Citing an example of a project of a large-scale coal terminal at Caofeidian Harbor of Tanshan Port this paper illustrates in details the design of water supply forlarge-scale dry bulk cargo terminal and its backup area. According to the features of large-scale dry bulk port, elaborate explanations are given to the domestic and industrial water supply systems and fire water system for the terminal. The design procedures may be used as reference for the design of similar works.
