翻译转换理论在商洛花鼓戏英译中的应用——以《屠夫状元》为例

The Application of Translation Shift Theory in C-E Translation of Shangluo Huagu Opera——A Case Study of From a Butcher to Zhuangyuan

商洛花鼓戏是国家级非物质文化遗产,是商洛文化的精粹。其英译是商洛花鼓戏在世界范围传承与发展的重要举措,也是促进中外文化交流的一个重要途径。运用卡特福德的"翻译转换"理论,从层次转换、结构转换、类别转换、单位转换四个方面对商洛花鼓戏经典剧目《屠夫状元》的英译及其效果进行探析,发现商洛花鼓戏英译中转换理论的应用能够避免死译、误译、中式英语等问题,有助于增强译文的表达效果。

Shangluo Huagu Opera is the state-level intangible cultural heritage and is the essence of Shangluo culture. The C-E translation of it is important for its inheritance and development in the world and cultural exchanges between China and other countries. Catford＇s theory of Translation Shift was applied to analyze the translation of one classic repertoire, From a Butcher to Zhuangyuan from four aspects, level shift, structural shift, class shift and unit shift. It was found that the application of Translation Shift Theory is helpful to solve the problems like rigid translation, mistranslation, and Chinglish etc. and enhance the expressive effect.
