Comment on Lu Family of Dawenkou in Tai'an

泰安古镇大汶口因其特殊的地理位置,明清民国时期商业文化的繁荣发达,吸引了大量外来人群。卢氏宗族明代自长清迁入大汶口,其宗族坚持不懈地修宗谱、建宗祠,紧紧团结着大汶口卢氏成员,并以修桥铺路、创办义渡、兴办教育等义行善举方式,展示着这一家族的优秀品质,这些优秀品质成为家族传统延续至今。从而逐渐地融入大汶口本地文化,并且最终成为大汶口文化建设的全面参与者与引领者。

Due to its special geographical location,Dawenkou,an ancient town in Tai＇an,has witnessed the prosperity of its commercial culture during the Ming and Qing dynasties and attracted a large number of foreign people. The Lu family moved to Dawenkou from Changqing in the Ming Dynasty. This clan persisted in repairing genealogy and building ancestral halls,closely uniting the Lu＇s members of Dawenkou,and paving the way for the construction of bridges,establishing free ferry,and schools. The charitable approach shows the excellent quality of this family,and these outstanding qualities have become the family tradition and continue to this day. This clan gradually incorporated Dawenkou＇s local culture and eventually became a full participant and leader in the cultural development of Dawenkou.
