小便书写是在古代小说中经常存在但又被忽略的一种描写,按其功能大致可分为五类,或引起正文、或刻画人物、或在情色小说中多用、或用作反讽,其中厕所作为一种叙事空间亦极为值得注意,也是一种功能。小便书写扩大了小说的描写范围。一般文言小说描写得较少,而白话通俗小说描写相对多一些。

Urination is a description of the often existing but neglected details in ancient novels. According to its functions it can be roughly divided into five categories： indusing its text,describing its characters,or being used in erotic novels or as an irony. Toilet as a narrative space is also extremely noteworthy. Urination writing expands the description of the novel. There are fewer such descriptions in classical Chinese novels,and more descriptions in vernacular popular novels.
