For the long term weldability problem of quenching and tempering type higher strength steel plate puzzling downstream users,the paper makes systematic analysis and discussion on the factors influencing the weldability of the steel plate from the aspects of composition design,metallurgical process,rolling process,heat treatment process and welding process on the basis of economic and practical design concept,raises the specific methods and measures to improve the weldability of such steel plate. By rational composition and process design,high strength and toughness steel plate of easy welding can be produced,satisfying the requirements of downstream users on design,manufacture,mounting and application.
