19世纪中后期,英国新式专业科技团体兴起并迅速发展,社团的化学研究等活动推动专业化学应用于化工生产和农业改良,环境调查研究对工业城市环境治理和公共卫生改革做出巨大贡献。
The second half of 19 th century saw the rapid development of new specialised scientific societies,which chemical research promote the utilization of professional knowledge in chemical and agricultural production,and enviromental research work contributed to the enviroment protection and public health reform in the intustrial cities.
