The Sustainable Growth of New Venture: Based on the Combining Perspective of Entrepreneurial Network and Legitimacy

新创企业在不断地构建和完善创业网络的同时,也跨越了不同阶段的合法性门槛。其中,创业网络会经历构建结构框架、强化网络关系和形成治理机制的动态过程;合法性则完成了从企业家合法性到创业团队合法性,再到组织合法性的塑造和升级过程。为了更好地理解和认识创业网络与合法性在新创企业成长过程的功能和作用,本文基于理论融合来构建研究框架,提出在不同的阶段创业网络与合法性间并非是简单的线性关系,而是存在动态交互关系,并会通过融合来形成合力以支撑新创企业历经不同阶段。当企业家具有个体合法性,有助于构建创业网络结构,进而支撑准备阶段的发展;当创业网络形成较强的网络关系,有助于塑造创业团队合法性,进而支撑启动阶段的发展;当创业网络建立了规范的治理机制,有助于增强组织合法性,进而支撑成熟阶段的发展。

How new venture achieves sustainable growth of has been an important topic that should be explored and solved in management theory and business practice. Both entrepreneurial network and legitimacy are key elements that promote sustainable growth for the new venture. However,entrepreneurial network and legitimacy can express different forms and contents in different growth stages. The new venture continues to enrich its entrepreneurial network,and crosses different legitimacy thresholds to achieve sustainable growth. Entrepreneurial network will go through a dynamic process includes establishing structural framework,strengthening relationship and forming governance mechanism. Similarly,legitimacy will develop from entrepreneur's individual legitimacy to legitimacy of entrepreneurial team,and further to organizational legitimacy. In order to understand the functions and roles of entrepreneurial network and legitimacy in this dynamic process,the paper builds a research framework based on the idea of theory combination,and explains the relationship between entrepreneurial network and legitimacy is not a simple linear,but a complex dynamic interaction. In the preparation stage, the important task of the entrepreneur is to build entrepreneurial network. With entrepreneur's legitimacy,the new venture will establish the framework of entrepreneurial network structure effectively. In the start-up stage, entrepreneurial network with strong relationship can enhance legitimacy shaping of entrepreneurial team. In the mature stage,if entrepreneurial network forms governance mechanisms with institutionalization,it will improve organizational legitimacy.
