In this paper, "politics" refers to that of the "invisible" and "unconscious." By investigating the "invisible" and "unconscious" part of the literary activities which Kawabata Yasunari participated in after World War II, the paper analyzes his political features, looking closer at Kawabata's literature and providing a feasible and effective perspective to understand it in a comprehensive way. After World War II, when Kawabata made his own decision to return to the classical and traditional culture, he had already entered the "political" field. At the same time, Kawabata stepped on the world stage with his own works and distinguished Japan from the West with the "unique beauty of Japan," from other Asian countries with "modernization," which made "Japan" more unique and preeminent. All in all, the most important part of Kawabata's "politics" is holding the high degree of Japanese national identity, using the "unique beauty of Japan" to combine his own works with "Japan" so as to achieve "win-win."
