People who live near the National Art Museum of China, in eastern Beijing's Dongcheng District, sometimes give abandoned door planks and/or wooden boards removed from old houses to Capucine Neouse, a painter and French national. In Neouse's eyes, those seemingly useless boards can be transformed into precious items that reflect the stories of Chinese people.
