任鸿隽对近代中国图书馆事业的贡献

Ren Hongjun's Contribution to the Modern Chinese Library

任鸿隽在中国近代史上,更多的是以"科学拓荒者""中基会干事长"的身份为人们熟知。其实,他对近代中国图书馆事业的发展也是功不可没。他任职中基会期间,先是协助干事长制定资助图书馆原则,后是坚定执行"因材而笃",给蹒跚前行中的图书馆事业以强劲动力。此外,在国立北平图书馆、明复图书馆的发展史上,任鸿隽也发挥了不可或缺的影响。任鸿隽虽然不是图书馆学专业出身,但他在关键时刻对图书馆事业的关怀和规划,无不彰显出他在教育文化视域上的高瞻远瞩。

In modern history of China,Ren Hongjun was more familiar with the status of ＂pioneer of science＂and＂director general of the CFPEC＂. In fact,he also had a great contribution to the development of library cause. During his tenure,he first helped the chief executive to formulate the principles of the funding library,and then firmly implement the ＂good material＂to give a strong impetus to the library undertakings in the lurch. In addition,Ren Hongjun also played an indispensable role in the development history of the national Peiping library and Ming Fu library. Although Ren Hongjun didn＇t had professional background of library science,he played an important role on the critical moment,which showed his vision in the educational culture.
