On Getting Punishment for the Guilt of Maltreatment against Animals

随着我国经济的飞速发展,普通动物逐渐从大众的食物、工具变成了朋友、家人、保护对象,而动物保护法律极度缺乏的现状与日益高涨的动物保护意识的矛盾不断激化,预示着虐待动物入刑之必然。虐待动物入刑有其必要性与可行性,通过设立虐待动物的具体刑罚条款,完善普通动物保护组织机构与动物登记制度,可以弥补我国现今对普通动物保护的法律空白,最终改善普通动物的生存现状,进一步继承和发扬我国善待生命、尊重生命的优秀传统文化。

With fast development of economy in China, regular animals have changed, from people＇s foods and tools, into their friends, family members, and protected subjects. However, we badly lack laws protecting animals, while people＇s awareness of protecting animals is getting increasingly strong. The contradictions between the two issues are getting more and more serious, which indicates that people will necessarily get punishment for the guilt of maltreatment against animals. It is necessary and feasible for us to make people get punishment for the guilt of maltreatment against animals.We should issue concrete items in law for punishment for the guilt of maltreatment against animals and perfect regular animal protection organizations as well as animal registration system, which will be helpful for us to not only make up for the current lack of law protecting animals in China, but also perfect regular animals＇ living conditions. In this way, we can further inherit and carry forward excellent traditional Chinese culture, kindly treating animals and respecting lives.
