论“语”“词”不当分立

On the Inappropriate Separation of Words and Phrases

温端政先生提出"语词分立",倡立"语汇学""语典学"学科,这对于促进"语"的研究不无意义。然其目前的理据性、必要性、合理性及可行性等均存疑,当前"分立"是否真正于学术研究、学科建设等有益,需要考虑。文章从学术史及学术研究应有的路径等角度再论语词的分合问题,指出:当前"语"的问题,仍可放归到词汇学框架内去探讨、完善,继而展开系列性研究,这可能要比"论分不分立"本身更有价值和意义。

Wen Duanzheng's theory of separation of the word and phrase has been supported as well as questioned by many people. This paper studies this theory from the perspectives of motivation,necessity,rationality,and possibility. It concludes that,although the theory is positive in that it emphasizes the study of the phrase,it is inappropriate to separate the phrase from the word completely. Whether to separate the phrase from lexicology and treat it as a new discipline parallel with lexicology requires further discussion. Chinese lexicological research must have Chinese characteristics,which is more significant than making unconventional innovation.
