高校英语辩论学习者的二语文化认同和思维风格

摘要 本文采用量和质结合的方法,报告了高校英语辩论学习者的二语文化认同和思维风格的特点。在有英语辩论社团的普通综合性大学,问卷发放随机整取的214名大学生,其中英语辩论学习者52名,非英语辩论学习者162名。独立样本T检验结果显示,整体而言,英语辩论学习者的获得性二语文化认同和创新倾向思维风格都显著强于非英语辩论学习者。对其中10名辩论学习者进行深入访谈,结果进一步显示,获得性二语文化认同体现在对中西方价值观的包容和对中西方社会现象的辩证审视,但同时具有盲目崇拜西方逻辑范式的削减性认同;创新倾向思维风格的具体体现是善于质疑、注重逻辑和追求革新,但同时独立思考的习惯使其具有内倾型思维风格。 With combined methods this study investigated the characteristics of cultural identities and thinking styles among college English debate learners. Results of a questionnaire indicated that generally college English debate learners' obtained cultural identities and creativity-generating thinking styles were significantly stronger than non-English debate learners. Qualitative interview data further suggested that the obtained cultural identities were demonstrated in accepting the differences of Chinese and Western value systems and in judging critically both Chinese and Western social issues; creativity-generating thinking styles were shown in the tendency of questioning,logical thinking,and the pursuit of change and reform.
