新加坡小学华文字词教学的问题讨论——以四年级教材为分析案例

摘要 字词教学是新加坡小学华文教学的重点和难点之一,而教材设计对学生字词学习有直接影响,值得深入分析。本文以现行新加坡小学华文四年级全套教材为案例,针对其中字词教学部分存在的问题从三个方面进行探讨:一、字词释义的问题,包括针对教学用书的讨论、针对课本中英互译的讨论,以及针对语素义教学的讨论;二、字词读音的问题,包括多音字教学及轻声的处理方式;三、字词运用的问题,即字词练习和教学的契合度。 This paper proposes to look into several issues in teaching Chinese vocabulary in Singapore primary schools and suggests feasible so- lutions. Instructional materials have direct impact on students' acquisition of vocabulary, and are the focus of the discussion. The three main issues for discussion are ( 1 ) word definition, including inaccurate word expla- nations and Chinese-English translations, as well as the overlook of poly- semous characters; (2) pronunciation, including the deficiencies inteaching Chinese polyphones and neutral tones; (3) vocabulary use, concerning mainly the discrepancies between teaching contents and rein- forcement exercises. Examples are taken from the Primary 4 Chinese lan- guage instructional materials
