Great Expectations is one of Charles Dickens’masterpieces.Estella is a special figure in this novel.Her tragedy has deep social and personal reasons.The paper explores the reasons of Estella’s tragedy from the Victorian social background,her education,her living experience and her own personality.In current society,the research of the analysis of Estella’s tragedy reasons has much useful enlightenment for the contemporary female.
