This thesis employs Aristotle’s thoughts about tragedy to analyze the play An Enemy of the People adapted by Arthur Miller.The play is a tragedy and its protagonist is a tragic hero,which can be illustrated in the outcome,the character,the plot,the effect and the reversal of the situation.
