成长景观的集大成者——20世纪的《呼啸山庄》阐释

Analysis of Wuthering Heights From the Perspective of Bildungsroman

从成长小说维度关照《呼啸山庄》,其乃一部经典的成长小说。作品中的成长主人公几乎是清一色不满20岁的年青人,他们的成长状态大致分为三种,即长大成人,成长完成;成长延宕,已具备长大成人的可能;拒绝成长,成长夭折。从某种意义上说,《呼啸山庄》浓缩了所有成长主人公的成长景观,如同一座高度微缩的成长百花园。

This paper anlyzes Wuthering Heights,a classic growth novel,from the perspective of bildungsroman. Almost all the protagonists in the novel are young people under 20. Their growth fall into three kinds,namely adult growth; delay in growth,readiness to grow up,refusing to grow up,and dying while growing up. In a sense,Wuthering Heights has condensed all the growing protagonists＇ growth into something like a miniature garden with growing flower.
